Tools Required •7MM Socket and or Nut Driver •Panel Removal Tools aka “Bone Tool” •Oversized Zip Tie for snaking harness
Front Door Panel Removal •Start by removing the pillar situated on top of the door panel, this is held in place with clips •Once pillar is removed you will see a single 7MM bolt that needs to be removed •Next using your panel removal tool loosen and remove the cap behind the door handle this will expose 2 7MM bolts which need to be removed • Now taking your panel tool slowly begin to unsnap the door handle, use caution and start at the front of the handle or the part of the panel closest to the truck body
Front Speaker Removal and Replacement The JBL speaker will drop directly into the factory location •Use the OEM screws to secure JBL speaker in OEM hole locations •Attach wire harness •Remove 4 7MM screws •Detach harness
Rear Door Panel THE MUSIC COMMUNITY RELIES ON JBL IITO •Rear panel removal is very similar to front panel removal • Using your panel removal tool loosen and remove the cap behind the door handle this will expose 2 7MM bolts which need to be removed • Now taking your panel tool slowly begin to unsnap the door handle, use caution and start at the front of the handle or the part of the panel closest to the truck body as the handle has a slide tab that locks into outer portion of panel •Next remove the two 7MM
Rear Speaker Removal and Replacement THE MUSIC COMMUNITY RELIES ON JBL IITO The JBL speaker will drop directly into the factory location •Use the OEM screws to secure JBL speaker in OEM hole locations •Attach wire harness •Remove 7MM screws •Detach harness
Head Unit Removal and Connection •Start by gently prying the center channel grill up and remove- there are 4 snap tabs that hold the grill in place in the for corners.
Head Unit Removal and Connection •Remove the 4 7MM screws holding the transport mechanism in place •Gently remove the transport mechanism so you can access rear of the unit •Remove the factory plug and plug into JBL harness •Install JBL plug into rear of head unit
Harness Installation •There are 2 harness that need to be installed with this system •Power Harness for under the hood simple 2 wire harness •Factory integration harness large harness with OEM plugs Harness 1- Power Harness •Starting at the batter on the passenger side of the F150 begin to route harness with spades at batter location •Run harness through the factory plastic channel across the engine bay •Make a small incision in the factor grommet that houses the hood release cable then using large zip tie
Harness Installation Harness 2-OEM Integration harness •Starting behind the head unit route the harness down center dash and under the carpet heading to the passenger side of the F150 •Remove the door sill panels for both front and rear door along with passenger side kick panel •Route harness in factor trough to the rear of the F150 under the seat on the driver side.
Subwoofer Enclosure •Begin by folding both seats up if they are not already •Remove the 4 7mm bolts that and factory trim panel that connects to the seat brackets •Place the JBL Subwoofer Enclosure in place, it is fitted to slide directly up to the factory seat brackets wrapping around the front of the power inverter if the F150 you are working on has one factory installed •Connect the JBL amplifier mounted on the subwoofer enclosure to the JBL harness you routed to the rear of the F150 •Using the supplied
Badge Installation •There are 4 small JBL door panel badges, 1 large JBL Concert Edition tail gate badge and 1 medium JBL Concert Edition dash badge included in the packaging •Install these badges per Car Toys directive for standards in JBL Concert Edition installation
