An inductioncooktop respondslike a gas cooktop, quick to heat and instant response
when turned off. The cooking areas are identified by circles on the glass-ceramic
cooktop. When an element is turned ON, the inductioncoils located under the glass
create a magneticfield. When a ferromagneticpot at least4" in diameteris placedon
the element,the pot gets hot.
Placethe cookpet on the cookingarea beforeturning onthe controls.
DO NOT HEATAN EMPTYCOOKPOTOR SKILLET.
Since induction cooking is fast, start cooking at the recommendedsetting. For
instancewhenpanfrying,start cookingat a mediumsetting. Donot preheataski}let
at a highersetting. Sincethe skillet beginsto heat{mmediatelywithinduct{on,food
could be burnedbefore the control setting was lowered.
If a food startsto boil over, reducethe controlsetting. The inductionelements wi}l
respondinstantly.
IMPORTANT
Do NOT use copper cookware.
Do NOT allow potsto boil dry.
Do NOT heat an empty skillet.
Slowly heat and cool porcelain pots. Rapid changes in temperature may cause
crazing of the porcelainfinish.
Each inductioncooking areahas a potsensorwhich will cause a "beep-beep"to come
on when:
nocookpot is sittingon thecooking area whichwas turnedon.
elementwas turned on and cookpot is made from a nonmagneticmaterial (see
cookwaresection for examples).
cookpot is removedfrom the elementwithoutturning off the control.
sizeof the cookpotis less than 4 inches in diameterand controlwas turned on.
