BROILER PAN AND INSERT
° Place soapy cloth over insert and pan; let
soak to loosen soil.
, Wash in warm soapy water. Use scouring
pad to remove stubborn soil.
" Broiler pan and insert can be cleaned in
dishwasher.
CLOCK AND CONTROL
PAD AREA
To activate "Control Lock" for cleaning,
see page [ 2.
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry.
° Grass cleaners may be used if sprayed on
a cloth first. DO NOTsflray directly on
control pad and display area.
CONTROL PANEL
Wipe with damp cloth.
° For stubborn soil, use mildlyabrasive clean-
ingagentssuchasBan Ami*. Do NOT use
abrasive cleaners such as steel woo[ pads
or oven cleaners. These products wi[[
permanency damagethe surface.
CONTROL KNOBS
° Remove knobs in the OFF position by
pulling forward.
Wash, rinse and dry. Do not useabrasive
cleaning agents as they may scratch the
finish.
Turn on each dement to be sure the
knobs have been correcdy replaced.
COOKTOP- GLASS-CERAMIC

° General - Clean cooktop after each
use,or when needed,with adamp paper
towel and Cooktop Cleaning Creme
(Part No. 20000001)**. Then, buffwith
a dean dry cloth.
NO TE:Permanentstainswilldevelopifsoil
isallowedto cookonbyrepeatedlyusingthe
cooktopwhensoiled.
° Heavy Soils or Netal Narks -
Dampen a "scratch[ess" or "never
scratch" scrubber sponge. Apply
Cooktop Cleaning Creme* (Part No.
20000001)** and scrub to remove as
much soil as possible. Apply a thin layer
of the creme over the soil, cover with a
damp paper towel and let stand 30 to 45
minutes (2-3 hours for very heavysoil).
Keepmoist by covering the papertowel
with plastic wrap. Scrub again, then buff
with adean dry cloth.
NOTE: Only use a CLEAN, DAMP
"scratchless"pad that issafefor non-stick
cookware.The pattern and glasswill be
damagedif the padisnot damp,if the pad
is soiled,or if anothertype of pad is used.

Nelted Sugar or Plastic - immedi-
ately turn dement to LOW and scrape
sugar or plastic from hot surface to a
cool area. Then turn dement OFF and
allow to cool. Clean residuewith razor
blade scraper and Cooktop Cleaning
Creme*.
COOKTOP TRI:
° General Cleaning/Heavy Soils- See
directions for glass-ceramic cooking area.
Do not use razor blade on cool<top trim.
For Difficult Stains, Ninor Discol-
orations or Yellowing - Gently scour
using a mill-abrasive cleaner such as Soft
Scrub* and a green Scotch-Brite* pad.
(Do not use Scotch-Brite pad onglass-
ceramic surface.} Rinseanddry. Follow
with HOPE'SCOUNTERTOP POLISH**
to enhance the cooktop's color and shine.

DOOR HANDLE - PLASTIC
* When cool, clean with soapand water,
rinse and dry.
* Use aglasscleaner and a soft cloth.
NOTE: Never useoven cleaners,abrasive
or causticliquid or powdered cleanserson
plastic finishes. These cleaningagents wi[[
scratch or mar finish.
NOTE: To prevent staining or discolora-
tion, wipe up fat, grease or acid (tomato,
lemon, vinegar, milk, fruit juice, marinade)
immediately with a dry paper towel.
