Complaint / Issue Cause / Check
WiFi Indicator is ON The appliance has been connected to the home router or access point.
WiFi indicator is blinking slowly. The appliance is in connecon mode. The indicator light will blink
slowly for up to two minutes while the appliance aempts to establish a
connecon with the wireless router. Once a connecon is established, the
WiFi indicator light will stay on.
WiFi indicator blinks rapidly for a couple seconds
and turns OFF.
The appliance was unable to establish a connecon with the wireless
router. Refer to secon "Unable to Connect Appliance to Wireless
Router” on page 4-3.
WiFi indicator is OFF. 1. The appliance has not been connected to the home router or access
point.
2. When the appliance goes into Standby Mode, the lights will be o.
Press the POWER Buon.
3. Smart Grid feature is temporarily disabled. The Smart Grid funcon
can be turned o for the current cycle by pressing the CONNECT
buon briey (WiFi icon will also be o). Press CONNECT buon again
to reacvate Smart Grid features.
4. The WiFi has been turned o. This occurs when the CONNECT buon
is pressed and held for more than 7 seconds, but less than 15
seconds. To turn the WiFi back on, press the CONNECT buon once
and the appliance will reconnect to the router.
5. The Appliance has been disconnected. This occurs when the CONNECT
buon is pressed and held for more than 15-20 seconds. The
appliance must be re-connected to the wireless router or access
point.
The Blue and Amber Smart Grid indicators are
OFF.
1. The appliance has not been connected to the home router or access
point.
2. When the appliance goes into Standby Mode, the lights will be o.

The Blue Smart Grid indicator is ON. 1. The Smart Grid feature is on and the power grid is normal (O Peak
Energy).
2. The Smart Grid feature is on and the power grid is at Peak Energy
Demand and has been over-ridden.
The Amber Smart Grid indicator is ON. The Smart Grid feature is on and the power grid is at Peak Energy
Demand. Appliance operaon will be altered or delayed from starng to
save energy. Press the CONNECT buon to override the Smart Grid event.
The Blue Smart Grid Indicator is Blinking. The appliance is connected to the home wireless router, but connecon
to the Whirlpool "cloud" has not been established or has been disrupted.
Is the consumer connected to the Internet—can the consumer access the
Internet on their home computer, laptop, or tablet (Google.com)?
