- If a WiFi extender is needed, the consumer should posion it halfway
between the Smart Appliance and the wireless router. Refer to
“Secon 2 - Connecvity.

ENERGY ADVISOR NO LONGER WORKING

Primary Energy Advisor features not working. 1. Energy Advisor is not enabled in the User Account.
2. The ulity company has not been specied in the User Account or
Energy Advisor is disabled.
Not receiving alerts or able to parcipate in
Energy Advisor.
1. Smart Grid feature is o. The Smart Grid funcon can be turned o for
the current cycle by pressing the CONNECT buon briey (WiFi icon
will also be o). Press CONNECT buon again to reacvate Smart Grid
features.
2. The appliance is not receiving a signal from the wireless router. Press
the CONNECT buon; if an error tone sounds, the router may not be
on or connected to the Internet.
3. User Account must be setup and appliance must be registered under
Add Appliance” on the customers User Account > Sengs.
4. The consumer must have the correct e-mail and mobile number saved
on their User Account and that their nocaons are set to ON.
Not seeing power usage on Energy Report Start a cycle on the Smart Appliance. From the User Account Home
Screen, have the user select the "Energy" tab. Under "Energy Report,"
select the appliance that is running a cycle. Is the appliance showing a live
power reading? If not, check the following:
Test the Power Measurement Board and CTs. Perform the troubleshoong
procedures on page 4-16 to verify operaon.

How to get connected once Smart Appliances are
installed.
For full Smart Grid funconality, the appliance must be connected to the
home wireless network through a wireless router (sold separately) and
the customer must have an acve Internet connecon. Refer to “Secon
2 – Connecvity for more informaon on how to get connected. Once
the user has completed the setup process for the appliance(s), the Smart
Grid funcon will default to ON (the Smart Grid indicator will be ON
connuously as long as it is communicang with the wireless router and
the Whirlpool "cloud").
Consumer does not know where to go to setup
their account.
The consumer must be able to connect to the Internet and go to www.
whirlpool.com/connect and follow the instrucons to download and install
the Whirlpool™ app.
User Account applicaon is not loading. A tablet (iPad or Android), or smartphone (iPhone or Android) connected
to the home wireless network and the Internet is required.
Forgot password. Click on “Forgot Password” and follow instrucons to retrieve your
password.
