USB OPERATION
The unit contains a USB port. The USB port is located on the faceplate beneath the
protective cover. You can connect an USB memory device using this port.
1. Locate the USB Input Cover on the faceplate.

2. Lift the USB Input Cover to reveal the USB connector.
3. Insert the USB device into the USB connector. The unit will read the audio les
on the USB device automatically. “USB PLAY” appears on the display panel.
4. If the unit is in another mode of operation press the SRC button on the
faceplate or the MOD button on the remote control to select USB mode.
Note: When in USB play mode, be sure not to remove the USB device from the USB
port.
Note: The unit can only support a standard USB memory device. When connecting
an MP3 player that uses normal batteries (non rechargeable batteries), the
batteries should be removed from the MP3 player rst and then connected to
the USB port. Otherwise, damage to the batteries may result.
Note: This unit supports a USB device with up to 8GB storage size. If there is any
compatibility problems, we recommend you to format your USB device in
FAT32 mode before using it. If the problem persists, consult your dealer for
assistance.
MP3/WMA Playback
To play MP3/WMA les from a USB ash memory, insert a USB ash memory into
the USB port on the left side of the unit. The unit will start playing MP3/WMA les
on the USB ash memory automatically.
If the MP3/WMA les are stored in folders on the USB drive, the unit will start by
playing the rst song in the rst folder. After playing all the les sequentially in the
rst folder, the unit will play sequentially all of the les in the next folder. The unit
will continue playing through all of the folders on the USB drive in this manner.
If the USB drive has loose les and folders containing les, it will play the loose
les sequentially, then it will play the les in the folders sequentially.
