SECTION 8 – Quantitation
The quantitation measurement mode enables sample concentrations to be calculated using a standard
curve. In this mode a number of standard solutions covering a range of known concentrations are
measured at a set wavelength. The absorbance or % transmittance of these solutions is plotted to create
a standard curve. Once the standard curve has been created a sample of unknown concentration can be
measured and the concentration calculated using the standard curve.
8.1 MODE SPECIFIC PARAMETERS
The quantitation minimal operating menu enables
calibration to zero absorbance and simple readings to be
taken without changing any measurement parameters or
settings. Pressing the key adjacent to the JW icon opens
the expanded operating menu.
The quantitation expanded operating menu enables
measurement parameters to be changed. The utility
toolbar on the left hand side of the screen enables access
to printing, print setup options, results, methods and
autologging options. For more details on the different
functions of the utility toolbar refer to section 10.
The standard curve icon enables the current standard curve and curve statistics to be viewed or a new
standard curve to be created. The quantitation table icon enables the quantitation standards to be
viewed.
