and complete the JeppView installation.
What You Need to Update MFD Charts
To copy terminal chart data to your MFD hardware data card, you need
the following:
Appropriate Media Adapter and Media compatible with your MFD system:
- Iomega Zip
®
250MB USB-Powered External Drive with a 250MB Zip Disk
- USB Flash Drive (only applicable with Avidyne EX5000 units with

Internet connection
JSUM Login
After the JSUM installer finishes, log in to JSUM on your computer.
You must have an Internet connection the first time you log in:
1. Establish an Internet connection.
2. If JSUM did not open automatically when the JSUM installer ended,
click Start > Programs > Jeppesen Services > Jeppesen Services, or click
the Jeppesen Services icon on your desktop (if you chose to create one).
3. When the JSUM login dialog opens, enter your current username
and password if you are an existing customer, or the username and
password you received when you ordered JeppView MFD. This is also
your username and password for www.Jeppesen.com.
After login, the system checks that the Jeppesen servers are online, verifies
that you have the most recent version of the application, and downloads a
list of all your subscribed data services.
Updating Your Media
The following instructions assume that you installed the terminal chart
data on your hard drive during the JeppView Disc 1 installation, and that
you are logged into JSUM.
1. Ensure that your media adapter is connected to the computer and the
correct media is inserted.
2. Select your chart data service from the JSUM service list and click
Start. If you completed the JeppView Disk 1 installation, JSUM displays
“100%” in the Download Progress column because the charts have been
loaded and saved in JeppView.
3. The service dialog opens with your adapter and media drive displayed.
If the adapter and media were not found, click Browse to locate the
adapter and media. If you are unable to locate the media, verify the
connection, and review the troubleshooting section in the JSUM Help file.
