CD-PLAYER
Disc Formats
• This device supports Audio CDs as well as readable CD-R and CD-RW formats. Other discs or computer CDs
cannot be read by this device. Do not insert such formats.
• Do not insert any blank CD-R/RW discs into the device.
• The playback quality and performance cannot be guaranteed if non-standardised format definitions /
productions of CD-R/RW discs are used. This is not a defect of this device.
• The quality of playback of recordable CDs is dependent on the recording and the quality of the CD-R.
• Do not put glue, labels, etc. anywhere on a CD-R/RW disc as this can lead to malfunctions.
Inserting and removing a CD
• Adjust the function switch (19) on the device to CD.
• Open the CD tray (4) by pressing the CD tray locking mechanism OPEN/CLOSE (5). The CD tray cover will
open upwards. Remove the transport safeguard when opening the CD tray for the first time.
• Do not apply force when opening the CD tray. When opening and closing the CD tray, do not exert any
pressure on the cover.
• Lay one CD into the CD tray with the label side facing up. Press on a point in the middle of the CD until it
clicks into place on the axis.
• Push the CD tray cover down to close the CD tray. The CD will now be read. If the CD is not readable or there
is no CD, then no will be shown in the display (13).
• Before you open the CD tray again, always make sure that the CD isn’t spinning anymore. Always press the
STOP button (11) first to stop the CD from spinning.
• To remove the CD, place one finger in the middle of the CD (middle of the spindle) and the other finger on
the edge of the CD. Carefully pull the CD out of the tray.
Note:
• Only remove the CD once the CD tray has been completely opened.
• Never put more than one CD in the CD tray at a time.
• Do not put any objects other than CDs in the CD tray.
• Never touch the clear laser lens inside the CD compartment.
• When you bump into the device, this could cause the tracks to skip.
• Very high volumes can cause vibrations which could also make the tracks skip.
• Keep the CD tray closed except for when you are changing the CD.
• Never open the CD tray when a CD is playing or if a CD is still spinning.
