TROUBLESHOOTING
If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the appliance for repair or sending it to the
service centre. The address and phone number are shown on the warranty card. Do not open the casing as there
is a risk of electric shock. Under no circumstances should you try to repair the set yourself, as this will invalidate
the warranty. Pay attention to the warranty
Problem Possible cause Solution
No sound. Volume is set too low. Set the volume higher.
Power cord is not properly plugged in. Plug in the power cord.
Mute function is activated. Press the MUTE button (48) or set
a volume.
No display, no reaction
to pushed buttons.
Power switched off. Switch on the appliance with the
power switch.
Electrostatic discharge Switch off and disconnect
appliance from the power supply.
Connect the power plug again.
The CD skips tracks. CD damaged or dirty. Clean or replace CD.
Playback in programme mode. End programme mode.
NO DISC is displayed. There is no CD in the CD tray. Insert a CD.
CD badly scratched or dirty. Clean or replace CD.
Laser lens is dirty or has steamed up. Clean the lens. Leave the appliance
in a dry room for 1-2 hours to allow
condensation to evaporate.
CD-R is blank or the disc is not “finalized”. Use a finalized CD-R.
CD playback does not
work.
CD badly scratched or dirty. Clean or replace CD.
Laser lens is dirty or has steamed up. Clean the lens. Leave the appliance
in a dry room for 1-2 hours to allow
condensation to evaporate.
USB/ memory card
malfunction.
Connecting error Disconnect the memory card/USB
and reinsert them.
The files are not compatible. Use a memory card / USB device
containing MP3 or WMA files.
