PREPARATION
Intended use
The intended use of this HiFi system includes the playback of Audio- and MP3/WMA-CDs, radio, USB flash
devices, memory cards (SD/MMC) with MP3/WMA files and external sources. The device is only intended for
domestic and private use. Never use the device outdoors!
Unpacking and checking
• Remove all packaging and examine the device for transport damage.
• Do not operate if it is damaged in any way and bring it back to the dealer immediately.
• Check whether the delivery is complete.
• Keep the packaging, if possible, until the expiration of the warranty period.
• Make sure there is adequate ventilation. Keep a minimum distance of 10 cm around the device in order to
ensure sufficient cooling.
• Open the CD compartment (11) and remove the transport support.
Remote control
• Open the battery compartment (47) and insert two type
AAA/LR03 batteries (Fig.1).
• Check carefully for the correct polarity (+/-) according to the
imprint.
• Close the battery compartment. Check that the cover is
correctly locked in.
• Change the batteries once they are worn out.
• Read the safety instructions for using batteries (see chapter
Important safety instructions).

Loudspeaker
• Connect the gray and black cables of the left and right loudspeakers with the corresponding gray and black
loudspeaker terminals (28) on the rear side of the device.
• The loudspeakers are equipped with a loudspeaker cover (32). Put covers on or operate without the covers.
Antennas
• The device is equipped with two antennas – an FM wire aerial (24) for the FM area and a loop antenna (30)
for AM. Unwrap the FM aerial and set it up.
• Do not unroll the AM antenna from its carrier. Bend the plastic part in the middle outwards and attach it to
the underside of the antenna. Connect the plug to the specified AM ANT. (26) jack on the device and set up
the antenna.
