USB STORAGE AND SD/MMC CARDS
• Make sure that the FUNCTION switch (19) on the device is set to position TAPE (OFF). Insert the USB
memory stick into the USB slot (28), and the SD/MMC card into the card slot (29).
• Set the FUNCTION switch (19) on the device to CD.
• If a USB drive and a memory card are connected to the device, press the FUNCTION button (34) repeatedly
in order to switch the operation mode. USB for USB storage or SD for memory cards will be shown on the
display (7).
• The functions for MP3-CDs also apply to USB drives and memory cards. For more information, see chapter
CD-Player.
• Never remove the USB memory or SD/MMC card from the connector when you are just playing a song.
Always stop the current track with the /STOP/FM.MODE button(31).
• Change the operating mode or switch off the device completely before taking the USB memory or the SD/
MMC card carefully out of the connection. This prevents damage of the USB memory, the SD/MMC card and
files.
Notes:
• The USB memory slot (28) can be used with standards 1.1 and 2.0.
• If you are not using the USB slot, always put on the included rubber cover.
• This device only supports USB storage and SD/MMC cards with a capacity of up to 2 GB.
• Due to changing technologies, it may happen that certain USB storage or SD/MMC cards are not compatible
with this device.
• This device does not support USB MP3 players.
• Do not use USB extension cable to connect your USB memory into the USB slot. It can cause interference
which can affect music playback. In extreme cases, the USB memory may be damaged.
