TROUBLESHOOTING
If an error occurs, check the table below first, before you contact your dealer or send in the device. The address
and hotline number can be found on the warranty card. Do not open the device and do not try to repair it yourself.
You will lose the warranty claim and it is dangerous! Refer to the warranty conditions on the following pages.
Problem Cause Solution
No sound. The volume is set too low. Set the volume higher.
The plug is not plugged in correctly. Plug in.
The display is blank;
no reaction to pressing
buttons.
Electrostatic discharge. Switch off device and pull plug. Wait briefly and plug in
again.
Poor music quality with
cassette operation.
Dust and dirt on the head. Cleaning
Incompatible cassette type used. Use only IEC I type cassettes (NORMAL).
Recording does not
function.
It is possible that safety latch has
broken off.
Before covering hole with adhesive tape, check whether or
not you really want to overwrite this cassette.
Protection slider on the SD card in
operation.
Slide the slider into the direction of the connections before
you insert the card.
The CD is skipping
tracks.
CD dirty or damaged. Clean or replace CD.
A program is being played. End program playback.
NO DISC is displayed. No CD in CD compartment. Insert a CD.
CD badly scratched or dirty. Use an unscratched and clean CD only.
Laser lens dirty or scuffed. Clean the lens. Leave the device in a dry surrounding for
1-2 hours where the condensation can dry.
CD-R is empty or not “closed’’. Close the CD-R.
CD cannot play. CD badly scratched or dirty. Use an unscratched and clean CD only.
Laser lens dirty or scuffed. Clean the lens. Leave the device in a dry surrounding for
1-2 hours where the condensation can dry.
USB / memory card
error.
Connection error. Remove the memory card / USB and insert it again.
No playable files available. Use a memory card / USB storage with MP3 files.
