5.5 Cleaning Thermal Head
 After printing, the thermal print head becomes very hot. Be careful not
to touch it and to let it cool before you clean it.
 Prevent the damage to the thermal print head by touching it with your
fingers or any hard object.
 Turn off the printer, open the printer cover, and clean the thermal elements of the
print head with a cotton swab moistened with an alcohol solvent (ethanol, methanol, or
isopropyl alcohol).
 It is recommended to clean the print head every 3 months to ensure the print quality.
5.6 Maintenance
This printer is toughly built to meet heavy load without regular maintenance. However regular
cleaning can extend the operating life of the printer. It is recommended to clean the printer
every 6 months or 300 operating hours.
Turn off the power and unplug the power cord before cleaning.
 Pick up paper debris by a pair of tweezers.

Clean up the dust inside by a brush or compact vacuum cleaner.

Clean up the dirt inside with a clean cloth.

Clean the platen with a soft cloth.
 Avoid damages to or loosing the cable winding and components inside. Avoid metallic
objects falling into the electric areas to cause short-circuit.
