Boom Control System Check Procedure
Perform the following check with no load (personnel or material)
in the platform from the ground control console.
1. Extend all axles fully.
2. With the boom fully retracted, raise the boom off the boom
rest to horizontal.
3. Position the jib horizontal and fully retracted, jib straight and
locked, and platform level.
4. Extend the boom until it stops.
5. Boom must stop on colored stripe matching the capacity
indicator. If the boom does not stop on the correct stripe,
the system must be repaired by JLG authorized Service Per-
sonnel before the machine can be used.
6. Push and hold the gray Boom Control System Test Button on
the ground control console. The lighting of the green Boom
Control System Calibrated indicator indicates the system is
functioning properly. No indicator light or the lighting of the
red Boom Control System Warning indicator indicates the
system must be repaired by JLG authorized Service Person-
nel before the machine can be used.
