Cleaning
Your Thermic Box will be delivered cleaned from the factory - you nevertheless should clean prior
to initial use. Take a cloth which has been slightly moistened with lukewarm water. Pay attention
that no water drops into the seals and possibly damages the electronics. Dry off the cooling device
with a cloth after cleaning. Clean the device periodically and as soon as it is dirty.
Attention: Never use solvents or agents with sand or acid parts for cleaning the cooling
tank. Never use brushes, graters or hard and sharp tools.
Putting into Operation
The Thermic Box is delivered switched OFF (DESL.). Switchover from cooling mode to heating
mode is done by the switch of Cold (FRIO) and Hot (QUENTE). The actual mode is shown by the
integrated LEDs, green stands for cooling mode and red for heating mode.
Putting out of service
If you wish to cut out the cooling device for a longer period, remove the plug from the AC line or
disconnect the device cable from the battery. Clean the device and leave the door slightly open to
prevent the formation of mold.
Problem 1: Your box does not function and the fan wheel visible from the outside is not turning.
FAULT DETECTION
A: It is possible that the cigarette lighter in your vehicle is not receiving any current. In most
vehicles, the ignition has to be switched on for the cigarette lighter to be supplied with current.
B: Ignition is switched on, but the box is not functioning. Immediately remove the plug from the
socket and check the following:
1. Cigarette lighter mounting: If used frequently, this mounting can become clogged with burnt
tobacco. This results in a bad electrical contact. Clean it by using a non-metal brush and solvent
until the middle contact pin looks clean. If the plug of your cool box gets very warm in the cigarette
lighter mounting, then either the mounting must be cleaned or the plug may not have been correctly
assembled.
2. Vehicle fuse: A fuse (normally 15A) is fitted for the cigarette lighter of your vehicle. Check
whether the fuse has been blown.
