4. Remove lock pin (B), push handle (A) to its lowest position and
install the lock pin as shown to lock deck in lowered position. If
installed, apply pressure on the foot pedal (C) to assist in lowering
the mower deck.
5. Disconnect mower drive belt:
CAUTION: Avoid injury! Component is spring-assisted and
under tension. Injury can occur if spring-assisted
component is released suddenly.

● From the left side of machine, insert a 3/8 inch ratchet into
square hole (D) in the tension arm, and pull clockwise and hold
to release tension on belt.

● Raise left spindle cover (E) and remove belt (F) from spindle.
● Remove belt from clutch sheave.

6. Remove spring clip (G) and pin (H) from each side of the rear
hanger bracket.
