Installation It is dangerous to alter the specifications or attempt to modify this product in any way. Care must be taken to ensure that the appliance does not stand on the electrical supply cable. Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.
Unpacking The appliance must always be transported in the vertical position as indicated on the outside of the packaging. After each transportation the appliance must not be switched on for approx. 2 hours. To ensure the coolant gases settle. Unpack the Fridge Freezer and check for any possible damage. If the appliance is damaged please report this to the John Lewis branch from which you purchased; in this case please retain the packaging. Report possible damages immediately to the place you bought it.
Change of door opening direction It is possible to reverse the door opening from right-handed to left-handed. Please follow the procedure as detailed below: 1. The Control Panel The following controls can be found under a cover in the top frame: A. On/Off button Switches the appliance on and off. B. Freezer thermostat knob Used to set the temperature inside the freezer. C.Temperature selection push button Depress to see the temperatures shown on the LCD display. To display the refrigerator or freezer temperature, press it once or twice, respectively. See also the description of the temperature display. D.
The elements of the temperature display are as follows: 1. Ambient symbol Seen when the digits show the ambient temperature. 2. Refrigerator symbol Dark, when the digits show the refrigerator temperature. 3. Freezer symbol Dark, when the digits show the freezer temperature. 4. Digits By default the digits show the ambient temperature and the ambient symbol is seen.
Using the refrigerator To maintain the selected cooling temperature within the refrigerator air must be allowed to circulate. Ensure the air circulation gaps behind the shelves are not covered. Always allow hot foods to cool to room temperature before placing into the refrigerator. this will avoid a build up of frost. Foods can transfer to or take in, odours from other foods.
Using the freezer Freezing Storing in the freezer The freezer is suitable for freezing fresh or cooked foods prepared in the home. It is also suitable for freezing foods purchased from supermarkets; be aware and follow the freezing instructions on the packaging. Follow the guidelines for the freezer below. Prior to home food preparation using the function button (E) press once or twice to select super freezing mode (the super freezing mode symbol will appear on the display).
