Warranty

LIMITED WARRANTY
Carlin Combustion Technology, Inc. (Carlin) warrants its products, to the original purchaser (the Customer),
to be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service as follows:
• Residential burners and Carlin brand components: 60 months from date of manufacture.
• Commercial burners: 12 months from date of manufacture
Non-Carlin brand components supplied on Carlin burners: 12 months from date of installation or 18
months from date of manufacture, whichever date occurs first.
This warranty does not extend to equipment subjected to misuse, neglect, accident and water damage; nor
does this warranty apply unless the product covered by it is properly installed by a qualified competent
technician, who is licensed where state or local codes require, and who is experienced in making such
installations, in accordance with NFPA No. 31 and NFPA No. 54 (National Fuel Gas Code) of the National
Fire Protection Association and in accordance with all applicable local, state, and national codes.
Parts that are defective in material or workmanship and within the warranty period will, at Carlin’s
discretion, be credited, repaired or replaced as follows:
Non-Carlin brand components supplied on Carlin burners should be sent for repair, replacement
or credit to an authorized service point or distributor of the manufacturer of such components when
reasonably available in the Customer’s locality.
Carlin brand components, or non-Carlin brand components where a local distributor is not available,
should be returned to Carlin freight prepaid. Parts determined by Carlin to be covered by this warranty
will, at Carlin’s discretion, be credited at the original purchase price or repaired or replaced and sent to
the Customer freight prepaid.
Carlin Burners are not covered by this warranty unless the Customer receives authorization from
Carlin’s Technical Service Department before returning the burner. When such authorization is granted,
the burner should be returned to Carlin freight prepaid. Burners determined by Carlin to be covered by
this warranty will, at Carlin’s discretion, be credited at the original purchase price or repaired or replaced
and sent to the Customer freight prepaid.
Carlin is not responsible for any labor cost for removal and replacement of equipment.
Equipment that is repaired or replaced will carry the unexpired portion of the original equipment Warranty.
If inspection by Carlin does not disclose any defect covered by this Warranty, the equipment may be
repaired or replaced at the expense of the Customer, and Carlin’s regular charges will apply.
This Warranty is limited to the precise terms set forth above, and provides EXCLUSIVE remedies expressly
in lieu of all other remedies and in particular there shall be EXCLUDED the implied warranties of
merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In no event will Carlin be liable for any
incidental or consequential damage of any nature*. Carlin neither assumes nor authorizes any person to
assume for Carlin any other liability or obligations in connection with the sale of this equipment. Carlin’s
liability and Customer’s exclusive remedy being limited to credit, repairs or replacement as set forth above.
*FROZEN PIPES/WATER DAMAGE: Suitable freeze protection monitoring or other precautions are
recommended to protect against ruptured pipes/water damage caused by fuel outage, safety related fault
conditions, or equipment failures.
