7.0 Service

Replacing the baffle plates - burn
plates - inner bottom (fig. 7)
• Removetheashretainer.(A)
• Liftthebaffleplateforwardandtothesideandedgeitout
of the door. (B)
• Removetheburnplates.(C)
• Liftuptheinnerbottomandedgeitout.(D)
For re-installation follow the same procedure in reverse order.
8.0 Reasons for operational
problems - troubleshooting
Poor draught
• Check the length of the chimney so thatit coversthe
requirements stipulated in national laws and regulations. See
also «2.0 Technical data» and «4.5 Chimney and flue pipe»
for information.
• Ensurethattheminimumcross-sectionofthechimneyisin
accordance with «2.0 Technical data»
• Makesurethat thereisnotanythingpreventing theflue
gasses from escaping: Branches, trees, etc.
The fire extinguishes after a while
• Makesurethatthewoodissufficientlydry
• Findoutwhetherthereisnegativepressureinthehouse,close
mechanical fans and open a window close to the stove
• Checkthattheairventisopen.
• Checkthattheflueoutletisnotcloggedbysoot
Unusual amount of soot accumulates on
the glass
Some soot will always stick to the glass, but the quantity depends
on:
• Humidityofthewood
• Localdraughtconditions
• Regulatingtheairvent.
Most of the soot will normally burn off when the air vent is
opened all the way and a fire is burning briskly in the fireplace.
