Galactic Garden Trio Watch your plants grow from the roots up! Have you ever wanted to grow a sunflower or a tomato? What about a pine tree? Galactic Garden lets you choose from a variety of seeds and greenhouse styles to grow plants, in special see-through Galactic Gel. Created by NASA scientists to grow vegetables and ecosystems in space, Galactic Gel has all the nutrients your plants need to survive.
Before You Begin 1) Before planting the seeds, wash your hands with soap and water, and dry them with a clean paper towel. 2) Remove the cover and dry away any water drops from the cover and the inside walls of the Galactic Garden. Planting Your Galactic Garden CAUTION: NEVER TOUCH THE SEEDS OR THE GEL WITH YOUR HANDS 1) Push the wooden planting tool into the Galactic Gel to create small holes in the gel.
Repotting Your Plant Once your plant has grown enough to reach the upper side of the Galactic Garden it is time to repot your plant. 1) Open the Galactic Garden cover. 2) Using the wooden planting tool, gently separate the gel from the side. 3) Slightly tilt the container to let the plant and the gel slip out of the Galactic Garden into your hands. 4) Wash the roots with a gentle flow of water. Note: Avoid pulling out the roots.
3) Add 1 teaspoon of sugar to the Galactic Gel mix and stir well, eliminating any clumps. 4) Open the Galactic Gel Liquid vial and pour it into the Galactic Gel mix. Stir well. 5) Place the bowl in a microwave at 500w or the pan over a low flame. Cook long enough to boil the gel liquid, making sure it doesn’t boil over. Boil the liquid for 20 seconds. 6) Pour the liquid into the transparent Galactic Garden, filling the container to 1/3 of its total capacity and wait for the gel to cool completely.
Did You Know? Tomato: A member of the Solanaceae plant family, the tomato prefers hot to temperate climates and adapts well to soil with a slightly basic or moderately acidic pH. The tomato is considered a deep plowing plant, which is why it is placed at the beginning of an agricultural rotation. The sowing period varies depending on the type of crop to be grown, while sowing depth ranges from a few millimeters to 2.5 cm. The tomato should be fertilized with manure in the autumn, at a depth of 12-16 inches.
