The skin can be left on all produce with the exception of: o All citrus fruits, including • Oranges • Grapefruit • Lemons • Limes • Tangerines Note: The oil in the skin of these fruits tastes bitter and is difficult to digest. Hint: Although the skin may be left on melons and pineapple, you may choose to remove them to maximize the fruit flavor in the finished drink.
HOW TO USE JUICE EXTRACTOR 1. Follow the instructions on pages 8 and 9 to assemble the juice extractor. 2. Assemble the prepared fruits and/or vegetables to be used on the counter or in a bowl next to the juice extractor. 3. Place a clean glass for your juice under the juice spout (F). 4. Be sure the pulp container is in place. 5. Plug appliance into standard electrical outlet. 6. Turn the power to the Low setting and allow to run 10 seconds before placing any food into the feed chute. 7.
HINTS AND TIPS FOR YOUR JUICE EXTRACTOR • Do not put food into the juice extractor before turning the appliance on. • Let the appliance run for at least 10 seconds before placing any food into the feed chute. • Do not let the pulp container or juice glass overfill while using the machine. Turn the appliance off, wait for the motor to stop running and any juice to stop flowing. Empty the juice glass and/or pulp container. Be sure they are properly replaced before resuming operation of the extractor.
TROUBLESHOOTING FOR THE JUICE EXTRACTOR PROBLEM NOTES POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION Juice extractor will not start when speed button is depressed. The juice extractor portion of the appliance may not be assembled correctly. Check the assembly instructions found on pages 8 and 9. The motor of the juice extractor seems to be struggling. • Pulp container may be full. • Pulp may have collected under the lid. • The speed selected may not be correct • Turn off the appliance. Empty the pulp container.

3. Hold continuous flow disc with the smooth side up and place the disc with the hole directly over the center post. Match the opening in the center of the continuous flow disc with the notches on the center post. If necessary, rotate the disc counterclockwise until it drops in place just above the rim of the slicer/shredder base (J).
USING THE SLICER/SHREDDER 1. Follow the directions on pages 17-19 to assemble the slicer/shredder. 2. Assemble the foods to be used on the counter next to the appliance. 3. Plug appliance into standard electrical outlet. 4. Fill feed chute with food; position food pusher over food and use it to guide the food through the feed chute (Q).
Care and Cleaning This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service personnel. Important: Always unplug your appliance from the outlet before cleaning. CLEANING 1. Unplug your Juiceman® Express and disassemble. 2. Using a sponge or damp cloth, clean the slicer/shredder base, rubber feet and the motor base. Important: Do not immerse the base in water or spray with water. Clean only by wiping with a damp sponge, cloth or paper towel. 3.

ASSEMBLING THE WORKBOWL 1. Place the workbowl on the motor base so the arrow on the workbowl is placed directly over the unlock symbol on the motor base. 2. Hold handle and rotate workbowl counterclockwise toward the lock symbol until it clicks firmly into place (S). Note: Be sure to lock the workbowl in place before attaching your desired blade blade and lid. S 3. Hold selected blade by center shaft and insert onto center post by pushing straight down (T). Important: The blades are very sharp.
V • The measuring cup holds ¹/³ cup (80 ml / 2.7 oz) of liquid and can be used when adding ingredients such as juices, milk, cream and liquor (V). Note: Use no more than ¹/³ cup (80 ml / 2.7 oz) of liquid at a time in the workbowl. • Once the workbowl lid has been removed from the workbowl place it upside down to hold the chopping blade and keep your counters clean. • Although plastic parts of the workbowl are dishwasher-safe, you may wish to wash them by hand to retain their clear appearance.
TROUBLESHOOTING FOR THE WORKBOWL PROBLEM Food is unevenly chopped. Appliance stops running. POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION • Workbowl is over filled. • You may be running the bowl continuously instead of using the Perfect Prep™ function. • Food may be cut in random sizes. • Smaller amounts will process more evenly. • Use the Perfect Prep™ button in 5 second or less increments. Allow the blades to stop completely before pressing the Perfect Prep™ button again.

PREPARACIÓN DE FRUTAS Y VERDURAS • Lave bien las frutas y las verduras inmediatamente antes de usarlas en el extractor de jugo, utilizando un cepillo de cerdas naturales. Sugerimos que use un detergente biodegradable, como el jabón líquido Fit® para frutas y verduras, para ayudar a eliminar los residuos de pesticidas. • Si lo desea, quíteles la cáscara.
5. Coloque un vaso o taza medidora bajo el pico para recolectar el jugo (E). 6. Coloque el elemento para empujar alimentos en el conducto de alimentación. Importante: Para su protección, este producto tiene un sistema de intertrabado. El extractor de jugo no funcionará salvo que la tapa esté debidamente trancada en su sitio. 15. Cuidado y limpieza Este producto no contiene piezas reparables por el consumidor. Envíelo a personal calificado para que realice el servicio. Con una esponja o paño húmedo, limpie la base, las patas de goma y la parte de abajo de la base del motor.

Lávela bien y vuelva a colocarla en el electrodoméstico siguiendo las instrucciones de ensamblado. El electrodoméstico deja de funcionar. Es posible que el motor esté recalentando.

Nota: Si usa la cuchilla rebanadora, gire el disco rebanador/rallador hasta que la cuchilla rebanadora quede justo por debajo de donde estará el conducto de alimentación de flujo continuo, para permitir que la cuchilla funcione a toda potencia antes de entrar en contacto con el alimento a rebanar (M). 3. Sostenga el disco de flujo continuo con ambas manos por los bordes exteriores, con el lado liso hacia arriba, y coloque el disco con el agujero directamente sobre el poste central.
CÓMO USAR EL REBANADOR/RALLADOR 1. Siga las instrucciones de las páginas 49-50 para ensamblar las piezas del rebanador/rallador del electrodoméstico. 2. Junte los alimentos que usará sobre el mostrador, junto al electrodoméstico. 3. Enchufe el electrodoméstico en un tomacorriente eléctrico estándar. 4. Llene el conducto de alimentación con alimentos; ubique en posición el elemento para empujar alimentos sobre los alimentos y úselo para dirigir los alimentos a través del conducto de alimentación (Q).

Desenchufe el electrodoméstico y déjelo enfriar unos 5 minutos antes de seguir usándolo. El eje conductor de la base del rebanador/ rallador parece estar flojo. Puede que el tornillo que sostiene al eje conductor no esté del todo ajustado. Apriete el tornillo de la parte de arriba del eje conductor para asegurarse de que esté bien ajustado.
