for a line module until its state is listed as on lin e.
Troubleshoot
ing Power Failures
The system’s d
istributed power s ystem is designed to consum e low levels
of power and dissipate low levels of heat. See “System Specifications” on
page 11 9 for specifications of power consu mption and heat dissipation. If
you suspect a
power problem, see Table 10.

ses of Power Failures
Symptom Possible Problems Actions
System does not power up.
System is not receiving power.
Module’s power supply has
malfunctioned.
Power source cannot handle
system load.
The following actions apply to all of the
possible problems:
1. Verify that all power connections
are correct.
2. Verify that the power supply is
delivering the correct voltage,
current, and wattage to the system.
See “System Specifications” on
page 119.
3. If the system still does not
operate, contact Juniper Networks
Customer Service.
System shu
ts down.
Temperatu
re is too high.
Power is lost.
The follow
ing actions apply to all of the
possible problems:
1. Verify t
hat power connections are
properly attached.
2. Verify t
hat s ystem is receiving
power.
3. Look to s
ee whether or not the
LEDs are lit.
4. Run dia
gnostics on SRP and line
modules.
5. If syst
em does not not reset,
contact Juniper Networks
