Potential Health Effects
Routes of Exposure: eye contact, skin contact, ingestion
Effects:
A. eye contact: may cause effects ranging from moderate eye irritation to corneal
abrasions. Such exposure may require immediate first aid and medical attention to
prevent possible damage to the eye. (see below)
B. skin contact: direct contact may cause irritation
C. Ingestion: small quantities are not harmful, ill effects are possible if large quantities
are consumed.
First Aid:
A. eye contact: immediately flush eye(s) with water for at least 10 minutes. Flush under
lids. Use of an eye cup is recommended. Contact a physician if discomfort continues.
B. skin contact: wash skin with cool water and soap or mild detergent. If irritation
occurs seek medical advice.
C. Ingestion: consume quantities of water to flush the system
