Remote control buttons and basic functions • Insert two batteries by following the and polarities and inserting the end first. • Use AA/R6/UM-3 dry cell batteries. • If the remote control does not work properly, fit new batteries. Operating the menus (continued) You can use the DVD MENU by switch channel to VIDEO-2. See the menus location in the below table.
Picture setting COLOUR SYSTEM PICTURE MODE You can select the appropriate colour system when the picture is not clear or no colour appears. You can choose the desired picture setting with one-touch. USER AUTO → PAL → SECAM → NTSC3.58 → NTSC4.43 You can also operate this function from the menu.
Picture in picture (PIP) operation Picture setting (continued) AI ECO SENSOR (ECO)/ECO MODE You can automatically adjust TV screen contrast according to the brightness of your room. OFF MODE-1/ECO-1 MODE-2/ECO-2 DISPLAY (for Al ECO SENSOR only) Cancel the function. Mild contrast (recommended). Even contrast. Display the graphic of the function. Teletext operation Sound setting TELETEXT MaxxBass You can watch the Teletext broadcast channel with TEXT function. You can enjoy an enhanced bass sound which cannot be played by normal speakers. 1 TV mode → TEXT twin mode → TEXT mode OFF HIGH LOW 2 Selecting other Teletext pages. MaxxBass is turned off. Sound setting (continued) STEREO / IßII ( AI VOLUME I/II) You can enjoy the stereo and bilingual broadcasted programmes. Select stereo sound. Select monaural sound. Select bilingual I (sub I). Select bilingual II (sub II). I II This function is only available in RF mode. You can also operate this function from the menu. MENU SOUND menu † You can adjust the volume balance between the left and right speakers. SOUND menu MENU BALANCE B/G → I → D/K → M This function is not available in video mode.
Customized setting AUTO SIGNAL DETECT VNR When the DVD input signal is detected, the input mode will automatically change to VIDEO-2 and when the DVD input signal is not detected, the input mode will automatically change to RF previous input mode. DVD players: Press the “POWER ON” button on the player for signal detection. VCRs: Press the “POWER ON” button on the device, followed by the “PLAY” button, signal detection and DVD menu display. You can reduce the picture noise.
Customized setting (continued) ON TIMER BEEP You can set the TV to turn on automatically from standby mode at a set channel and time. TV channel presetting To register the TV channels automatically (AUTO PROGRAM) You can register the TV channels automatically. 1 2 MENU SET UP menu OR 6 (red) (green) to search for the TV channel. 7 Searching stops when a channel is found and displayed.
