This parameter is used to select a method for controlling external devices connected
via the RS-422A REMOTE terminal or the DV IN/OUT terminal).
OFF : Control is not to be carried out via the RS-422A REMOTE terminal
or the DV IN/OUT terminal. This is the standard setting for normal
operation.
9PIN(MASTER): This setting is made when recording audio and video from a VCR
connected to the RS-422A REMOTE terminal. When selected,
the REMOTE CONTROL (9PIN MASTER) screen appears, and
this screen can be used to carry out recording operations.
9PIN (PLAY) : Use this setting to use this machine as a player under RS-422
control.
9PIN (REC) : Use this setting to record images and sound from a non-linear
editor. The REMOTE CONTROL (9PIN REC) screen is displayed.
This machine becomes the slave side, controlled by the non-linear
editor.
DV(MASTER) : This setting is made when recording audio and video from a DV
camera or video connected to the DV IN/OUT terminal.
When selected, the REMOTE CONTROL (DV MASTER) screen
appears, and this screen can be used to carry out recording
operations.
DV(SLAVE) : This setting is made when recording audio and video from a
nonlinear editor connected to the DV IN/OUT terminal. When
selected, the REMOTE CONTROL (DV SLAVE) screen appears.
In addition, the BD-X200 will become the slave device and will be
controlled by the non-linear editor.
DV(TRIGGER) : This setting is made when the BD-X200 is connected to a DV
camera featuring a DV record triggering function, and it allows
this DVD recorder to record video from the camera in response to
operation of its trigger button.
Note
When setting this item to 9PIN (MASTER), DV (MASTER), 9PIN (REC) or DV
(SLAVE), the video output image becomes the REMOTE CONTROL screen display.
However, video input can be checked by press and holding the REC button while
DVD Recorder is stopped and viewing the encode output.
This parameter is used to indicate whether or not the REC CONTROL panel is to be
displayed on the monitor screen.
ON : The REC CONTROL panel is to be displayed only when a recordable disc
has been inserted and the DVD recorder is in Stop, Recording, or Recording
Pause mode.
OFF : The REC CONTROL panel not to be displayed.
This parameter is used to select the command output via the RS-422A REMOTE
terminal or DV terminal when the FF or REW button is pressed on the REMOTE
CONTROL (9PIN MASTER/DV MASTER) screen.
FF/REW :A FF or REW command is to be output accordingly.
SEARCH :A forward-search or reverse-search command is to be output accordingly.
This button is used to return to the Setup Menu screen.

Select whether to create an introduction title (opening movie) in a completed disc
(finalized disc). This is set before inserting a disc or when a blank disc is inserted. If
recorded with this item set to ON, title 1 will be recorded as the introduction title.
OFF : Do not create an introduction title.
ON : An introduction title is created when finalizing.
* If this item is set to ON, a disc with only title 1 recorded cannot be finalized.
This button is used to return to the RECORDER MENU (1/2) screen.
