Recording from a Disc
You can record tracks in digital recording from a CD onto
the USB device.
• Do not vibrate the System while recording/editing
tracks. Take care especially while “WAIT” is shown on
the display. It may damage the recorded tracks on the
System.
Before recording....
Connect a recordable USB device to the USB MEMORY
REC/PLAY (
) terminal. (See also page 6.)
1 Start and stop playback of the disc.
2 Select the first track you want to record.
The System records from the
track to the last one.
3 Enter recording mode.
4 Select a group to record tracks into.
• You can also select a group from a list shown on the
TV screen.
• If “NEW GROUP” is selected, the System will
automatically create the new group as “001_group.”
If “001_group” already exists, “002_group,” “003_
group,” etc. will be created.

5 Start recording.
Both recording and playback start at the same time.
When playback ends, recording also stops.
• You cannot change the source while recording.
• If Program Play is activated (see “Programming the
Playing Order—Program Play” on page 24), the tracks
are recorded in the programmed order.

Giving (Editing) Titles to Tracks
or Groups

You can give titles (up to 24 characters) to the tracks and
groups (up to 28 characters) in the USB device.
• While playing, you cannot edit track/group titles.
1 Start and stop playback of the USB device.
2 Select a track/group you want to edit.

USE % TO SELECT GROUP.
TO EXIT, PRESS 7.
PLEASE SELECT GROUP IN WHICH YOU WANT TO RECORD.
THEN PRESS ENTER TO START RECORDING.
