NOTES
SWITCHING CHANNELS IN LIVE MEMORY MODE
Please note that when “LIVE MEMORY” is set to 30 MIN / 1 HR / 3 HR, switching channels takes longer than when the mode is
OFF:
When “LIVE MEMORY” is OFF: approx. 2 seconds
When “LIVE MEMORY” is set to 30 MIN / 1 HR / 3 HR: 5 – 8 seconds
This is caused by the continuous HDD recording — one of the LIVE MEMORY functions and not a malfunction.
You can manually turn on/off the “LIVE MEMORY” function on the Main Menu screen. If you prefer quicker channel switching,
please turn off the function.
When “LIVE MEMORY” is 30 MIN / 1 HR / 3 HR:
Activate the “Temporary Recording” function, and the HDD automatically starts recording the program from the currently chosen
channel up to a specified number of minutes/hours (30 minutes, 1 hour, or 3 hours) in a continuous loop. This allows you to enjoy
various “LIVE MEMORY” functions, including:
A Pause Live TV
You won’t miss any scenes of the program you are watching even in case of a phone call or an unexpected visitor. You can
pause the program and resume watching where you left off.
B RetroActive Recording*
Even midway through a real-time program, you can “rewind” and record from the beginning, or from any interval in between.
* Applies only to the program (channel) currently being viewed.
You can also enjoy Live Memory Playback or 1.5x Speed Search of the currently broadcast program from the chosen
channel.
To activate the “Temporary Recording” function:
1 Press SET UP on the remote control to access the Main Menu screen.
2 Select “HDD/DVD SET UP” – “HDD SET UP” – “LIVE MEMORY”, and then press ENTER.
3 Then select the time length from among “30 MIN”, “1 HR”, and “3 HR”.
See page 43 of the “INSTRUCTIONS” for more detailed instructions on Live Memory Playback and other important
information.
