Changing the initial settings
5 While [_ points [LEVEL], press ENTERto
bring up the pull-down menu.
In the pull-down menu, "NONE" and level "1"
through "8" are available.
"NONE" does not restrict playback. Level "1" is the
strictest level. Discs rated higher than the selected
level are restricted.
6 Use A/T to select a desired parental lock
level, then press ENTER.
[_ moves to [PASSWORD].
7 Enteryour 4-digit password usingthe numeric
buttons (0 to 9).
8 Press ENTER.
The setting is set.
[_moves to [EXIT].
Pressing ENTER again returns to the "OTHERS"
page of the preference display.
• If you enter an undesired password in step 7, reenter the
password before pressing ENTER.

LOCK"and press ENTER.
The Parental Lock on-screen display appears on the
TV screen.

2 Enter your current 4-digit password using the
numeric buttons (0 to 9) and press ENTER.
moves to [COUNTORY CODE] if you enter the
correct password.
If you enter the wrong password, "WRONG!
RETRY..." appears on the TV screen, and you cannot
go to the next step.
