EXPRESS WARRANTY STATEMENT FOR CAR STEREO AND PERSONAL AUDIO COMPONENTS
JVCKENWOOD AUSTRALIA PTY LTD (" JVCKENWOOD ") is proud of the qua li ty and workmanship of i ts JVC brand Car Stereo and audio
equ1pment( " Products") .
Th is unit has been properly designed , tested and inspected before it was shipp,?d to you . If properly installed and operated in accordance with instructions
furnished, 1t should give optimum reliable performance .
For Australian Customers
Our Products comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Under Austral i an Consumer Law , you are enbtled to a
replacement or refund for a maior failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage . You are also entitled to have the goods
repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure d ose not amount to a major failure
The benefits of this warranty are in add1bon to any rights and remedies 1mposeo by Australian State and Federal l egislation that cannot be ex cl uded . Nothing in
this warranty is to be interpreted as exclud i ng , rest r icting or modifying any State or Federal legislaUon applicable to the supply of goods and serv i ces which
cannot be excluded , restricted or modified .
For New Zealand Customers
The benefits of the express warranty described below are in addition to your staMory rights and remedies under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 that cannot
be excluded. If you are acquinng Product for the purposes of a business , to the extent permitted by law , the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does no t apply.
Otherwise nothing in th is warranty is to be interpreted as excluding , or restrict i ng , the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 . To the ex1ent perm i tted by law , all other
warrant i es , guarantees or representations ( whether implied by statute , common law or custom of the trade or o therwise) in respect of the Product , not expressly
i ncluded in this warranty , are excluded .
SCOPE OF EXPRESS WARRANTY
Subject to the " EXCLUSIONS ", "PROCEDURE WHEN REQUESTING SERVICE UNDER THE EXPRESS WARRANTY " and "LIMITATIONS" be l ow , each of
the Products is expressly warranted under normal insta ll ation and use against defects in material and workmanship during the Warranty Period .
This warranty 1s not transferable to a subsequent customer 1f the Product is sold by the onginal purchaser during the Warranty Penod .
Dunng the Warranty Period , JVCKENWOOD will cause the Product or the defe ; tive part of the Product to be repa i red by providing to any JVCKENWOOD
Authorised Service Centre for JVC products 1n Australia or New Zealand ( as applicable to country of purchase ) free of charge parts necessary to correct any
defe ct in material or workmanship .
JVCKENWOOD reserves the right to replace defective parts of the Product wit~ parts and components of sim il ar quality , grade and composi t ion where an
identical part or component is not available .
Products presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished products of the s3me type rather than being repa ir ed . Refurbished parts may be used to repa ir
the goods.
WARRANTY PERIOD
The JVC brand car stereo and personal aud io components are expressly warranted for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of the original purchase .
CONDITIONS OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY
The following are not covered by this express warranty :
1. Voltage conversions ;
2 Cabinets , gnlles , other ex1erior finishes , belts , tape heads , and other nondurable parts and accessories ;
3. Any fault caused by faulty installation , water damage, the vehi cl e ( including its electronically system) or con n ection to an i ncorrect power supply ;
4. Periodic check-ups which do not disclose any defects covered by this warranty ;
5. Products on which the serial number has been defected , modified or removed ;
6. Products that have been subJect to abnormal conditions , including environm e nt , temperature , water , fi re, humidity , pressure , stress or similar ;
7. Alleged defects that are within acceptable industry vanances ;
8. Damage or deterioration :
a. Resulting from installation and /or removal of the product.
b. Resulting from acc i dent , misuse, abuse , neglect, unauthorized produ ct modification or failure to follow i nstructions contained in the Owner 's Manua l.
c. Resulting from installation of parts or accessories that do not conform to the quality or specifications of the origina l parts or accessones .
d. Occurring dunng shipment (claims must be present to shipper) ; and
9. Damaged magnetic tapes.
The warranty does not extend to :
1. Installation and removal charges , or
2. Shipping charges to or from an authorised JVCKENWOOD Serv i ce Centre for JVC produ ct s.
PROCEDURE WHEN REQUESTING SERVICE UNDER THE WARRANTY
1. When requesting service under JVCKENWOOD warranty , preferably make your Produ ct available for inspectio n and testing to the dea ler from whom you
made the purchase , or to the nearest Authorised JVCKENWOOD Service Centre for JVC products , or sh ip your Product 1n its original packaging , or
equivalent , with shipping charges and insurance prepaid , to the Authorised JVCKENWOOD Serv i ce Centre for JVC products. Otherwise , conta ct

Attach the following to the Product:
. the warranty record in the back of t his page together ;
. a valid purchase docket attached ; and
. detailed descnption of the problem encountered , i ncluding deta ils of any prcblems which relate to associated equipment.
2. If such inspection and testing find no defect in the Product , the purchaser , at JVCKENWOOD 's di scretion must pay JVCKENWOOD 's cost of service
work , evaluation and testing .
3 Make sure you recover this card , your purchase docket and repair docket wh~n accepting the eq u ipment back after repa ir or after your cl aim is re jec ted .
IMPORTANT NOTICE
1. Proper maintenance and use are important to the performance level of all prcducts . Therefore, you should read your i nstruction ma n ual.
2 Retain your purchase docket together with this warranty record in a safe place , and present them both to prove your eligibility for warranty serv i ce .
3. We recommend that you keep all the original pa c kaging as it provide the bes1 protection you can have for transportatio n of your equ i pment in t he future .
4. Locat10n of nearest JVCKENWOOD Service Centre for JVC products can be obtained from the dealer .
LIMITATIONS
To the ex1ent perm i tted by law , JVCKENWOOD makes no express warranties o· representations other than s et out in th is warranty.
The repair or replacement of the unit or part of the unit is the absolute limits of JVCKENWOOD 's liability under this express warranty .
