This unit supports the progressive scanning system (480p*) as well as the conventional interlaced scanning system (480i*). Wipe the disc with a soft cloth in a straight line from center to edge. Handling Discs • Remove the disc from its case by holding it at the edge while pressing the center hole lightly.

If there is any problem you cannot solve, contact your JVC‘s service center. 7 General PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION The power does not come on. The power cord is not plugged in. Plug the power cord into an AC outlet. No sound from speakers. Speaker signal cables are not connected. Check speaker wiring and reconnect if necessary. The audio cable is not connected properly.
English 7 For DVD Player PROBLEM No picture is displayed on the TV. POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION The video cord is not connected correctly. Connect the cord correctly (see pages 9 and 10). TV input selection is incorrect. Select the correct input on the TV. The disc is not playable. Replace the disc (see page 34). The scanning mode is set to “PROGRESSIVE” though the unit is connected to a TV which does not support progressive video input, such as a conventional TV.
English Troubleshooting 7 For Tuner PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE Hard to listen to broadcast because of noise. The AM loop antenna is too close to the unit. Change the position and direction of the AM loop antenna. The supplied FM antenna is not properly extended and positioned. Extend the FM antenna at the best position. Incoming signal is too weak. Connect an outdoor FM antenna or contact your dealer. The station is too far away. Select a new station. An incorrect antenna is used.
