Common Operations Turning On the Power Setting the Clock When you press the play button — CD 3/8, TAPE 2 3, or the source selecting button — FM/AM, and MD/AUX (UXP5) or AUX (UX-P3), the unit automatically turns on and starts playback if the source is ready. To turn on the unit, press (STANDBY/ON). For UX-P5: The STANDBY/ON lamp on the unit lights green. For UX-P3: The STANDBY lamp on the unit goes out.
English Setting the AM Tuner Interval Spacing Adjusting the Volume When shipped, the AM tuner interval is set to 9 kHz or 10 kHz spacing. You can change it to 10 kHz or 9 kHz spacing. You can adjust the volume level only while the unit is turned on. The volume level can be adjusted between “VOLUME 0” and “VOLUME40”. On the unit ONLY: When using the remote control, press VOLUME + to increase the volume or press VOLUME – to decrease it.
