Basic operations
• During playback
From the remote control unit
Hold down I<< or _,_L
Holding down _bl advances playback rapidly, while holding clown _ reverses playback at 5 times the normal
speed. Releasing the button returns the unit to normal playback.

Press1<4 or _l while holdingdown SHIFT.
Each press of 1<41or _ while holding down the SHIFT button increases the playback speed from 2x to 6Ox the
normal speed.
Pressing PLAY returns the unit to normal playback.
From the front panel
Use the SHUTTLE knob.
To advance playback rapidly, turn the shuttle knob to the right
and hold, and to reverse play rapidly, turn the shuttle knob to
the left and hold. By releasing the shuttle knob, the unit
returns to normal playback. The playback speed changes
according to the amount you turn the shuttle knob.

Holding down the _ or _ button on the front panel also advances
or reverses playback rapidly.
• During playback
Press1<4 or I_1_1.
Press 1<41to locate the beginning of the current chapter, title, or track, and press _bl to locate the beginning of
the next chapter, title, or track.
ou play a Video CD or SVCD disc with the PBCfunction or a DVD VIDEO disc, the unit may locate a different place, but
