Getting started
You can enjoy high-quality audio by connecting the unit's audio output to your amplifier or receiver.
Connect the unit's AUDIO OUT (LEFT/RIGHT) jacks to any line-level inputs (such as AUX, DVD, CD, etc.) of an audio
amplifier or receiver.

When using the unit with a stereo amplifier or receiver, set "ANALOG OUT" in the "AUDIO" preference display to "2-CH
STEREO" {see page 61).
If your stereo amplifier or receiver has an AV COMPU LINK terminal, you can use the AV COMPU LINK function. See "AV
COMPU LINK remote control system" on page 71 for details
The unit supports the linear PCM multichannel format of DVD AUDIO and can feed multichannel audio output signals
from the six analog AUDIO OUT jacks.
It is also equipped with the DTS and Dolby digital decoders. So you can enjoy any type of the high quality surround
sounds by connecting the unit to an amplifier/receiver equipped with the 5.1-channel inputs.
Connect the unit's analog AUDIO OUT jacks to the analog 5.1-channel inputs of an amplifier or receiver using the
supplied audio cables.

Be sure to connect correctly between corresponding terminals. The order of the 5.1-channel terminals depend on units.
NOTES
When usingthe 5.1-channeloutputs of the unit, set the "ANALOG OUT" in the "AUDIO" preferencedisplay to "MULTI
CHANNEL" {see page61). If you select "EXPERT" inthe "SPK.SETTING" preferencedisplay,you can control the audio output
balance of the speakers {see page 62).
