Basic operations
Available :
• For DVD AUDIO/DVD Vl DEO/Audio CD: During playback or while stopped
For SVCDNideo CD: During playback without PBC function or while stopped
Usethe numeric buttons to specifythe number.
Depending on the disc type and the unit status, what is specified differs.

,1 Pressing the numeric buttons simply selects a track. To select a group (When a disc contains more than one group),
press TITLE/GROUP before pressing the numeric buttons.
,2 Pressing the numeric buttons simply selects a chapter when a disc contains only one title, or selects a title when a
disc contains more than one title.
The selected title, group or track number appears in the display window on the front panel.
To select a number between 1 and 10:
To select a number higher than 10:
Examples:
To select 13: +10-->3
To select 34: +10 -> +10 -> +10 -> 4
To select 40: +10 -> +10 -> +10 -> 10
Press the corresponding button for the number.
Use the +10 button.
The unit starts playback from the beginning of the selection. The selected title, chapter, group or track number
appears in the display window on the front panel.
NOTES
• Youcan also specifythe desired title during DVDVIDEO playback.See page 27for details.
• DuringDVD AUDIO/DVD VIDEO playback,if a menu is shown on the TV screen,the numeric buttons may be usedfor selecting
an item in the menu.
• When Q appearson the TV screen:
The title, chapter, group or track you have selected is not contained in the disc.
• This function does not work during SVCD/Video CD playbackwith PBCfunction {see pages 5 and 26).
