It is recommended to use an AC adapter, which outputs DC 12V / 250mA , for this unit. 1. 2. Connect the AC adapter (included) plug to the DC Jack of the unit. Connect the other end of the AC adapter to the wall outlet.

Program the Weather Channel for Your Desired Area a) Turn the radio off with the POWER button on top of the radio. b) Press the MENU button. c) Press the UP " " or DOWN " " button until “WEATHER—CH1” displays on the LCD screen. d) Press the SELECT button.

To activate the alarm, set the AL1/AL2/AL1+2 switch on side of the radio to 2. your desired position. The clock face icon will appear. When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button on the top of the radio. 3. The alarm will sound again in seven (7) minutes. Press the SELECT button and then the UP " " or DOWN " " buttons to scroll through “SINGL COUNTY”, “MULTI COUNTY” or “ALL COUNTY”. Choose “MULTI COUNTY”, and press the SELECT button.

If the receiver receives a new alert while a previous alert is still in effect, it automatically displays the new alert message. Press the UP " " or " button to review the past alerts, press the RIGHT “>” button to review the ending time of this alert.

When battery is low voltage, the indicator on LCD will appear. Please uninstall the old batteries and install new batteries when these occur. No Reception Warning If no alerts are received for 10 days, the LCD will display “NO RECEPTION” every 30 seconds.

The fact that you can get clear voice reception does not guarantee that an emergency alert will trigger this unit’s alerts. To test actual reception, the unit must receive the weekly Test or Emergency Alert Signal Broadcast. The National Weather Service (NWS) broadcasts a Test Alert every week on Wednesday between 11:00 am and 12: 00 noon.
