1. General Safety
Notes
This mounting accessories
is
intended for
installation:
a.
by
professional
installers only
,
b.
in
compliance
with the according mounting codes,
including local building
codes and
regulations, particularly
BGV
C1
(BGI810·3,
BGG 912)
regulations,
c.
as prescribed in the instruction
manual,
d.
after an error-free
visual
check of the mounting hardware (integrity,
reliability);
esp. pay attention for signs of corrosion, bending, wear and tear,
e.
without
altering
accessories in any way and using other mounting hardware,
f.
only
for indoor use
(also
not for humid rooms).
2.
General Mounting Notes
-
Prior
to the installation a
licensed
technician must approve the
location
and method of attachment.
- Use comprehensive dimensioned fasteners
(DIN18800)
for the attachment on traverses,
ceilings, walls.
-Take in account the reduced
load capacity of wall/ceiling-coverings.
-All
screw joints have to
comply
with maximum fastening torque
values (DIN
898).
3.
Safety Measures
Speaker cabinet systems that are mounted in stage or studio areas need to be secured against tipping over or falling
according to BGV
C1
(BGI810).
-
Rigged speaker systems
always
have to be secured against tipping over or
falling
by an
additional
independent safety joint. For this use an
adequately dimensioned steel rope
(BGI
810-3, section 3.5 safeties).
- Only
use safeties with a
DIN-marking
or adequate
national
safety
label.
· The use of
plastic mantled steel
wire ropes
is
not
permissible.
- Obey all
safety measures as stated as
well
as
the max. height of fall
of
20
em
is mandatory.
4.
Safety
Aspects
Accessories for mounting speakers are
safety-relevant
parts, which,
in
case of damage can
result
in serious injury and equipment damage. That is the
reason why
complying
with the safety aspects of the following
is
absolutely
mandatory.
Unfortunately
the requirements and
applicability
varies from
country to country,

Inspection
and Maintenance
Overhead installation of any heavy load
is
highly safety-relevant. It
is important that we become aware of this hazard.
It
requires
regular
inspection and
routine maintenance to ensure proper function and safe operation.
- Before each usage sequence carry out a
visual
check of the mounting hardware and attachments for signs of
corrosion, bending or any other condition
in
order to ensure a good condition of the installations.
-Many
countries prescribe
regular inspections. According to BGV
C1
we recommend:
-
annual
inspections by
qualified personnel,
- in addition every 4 years inspections by an authenticated expert,
-to
keep an inspection book (BG 912, 3.4)
in
order to prove the inspections toward any authorities.
