1. Remove the air filter from the vehicles airbox.
2. With a damp rag wipe off any dust or dirt that may be inside the airbox.
3. Install the K&N Air Filter into the airbox base making sure that the end of the filter that is narrower
is installed facing the hinged side of the airbox. (Fig. 1)
4. Re-install the airbox lid by inserting the two tabs that are on the airbox lid into the two slots that
are on the airbox base (Fig. 2) while holding the airbox lid up as high as possible at the angle
shown. (Fig. 3)
NOTE: On some vehicles the pressure needed to do this may be slightly more that with the stock air filter.
Take care while doing this; if you do not have the tabs properly aligned first there is the possibility that you
could snap off the tabs by using too much force. Make sure that the tabs are properly seated.
5. Next fasten the two clips that hold the airbox lid closed.
NOTE: It is easier to fasten the clips by applying pressure to the center of the clip rather than trying to pull up
on the clip to close it. (Fig. 4)

filter will last 1 million miles or more. This filter is a direct replacement for the stock air filter, and no
modifications will be required. However the following procedure MUST be followed to ensure a prop-
er fit and seal of the K&N Air Filter.
