1. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative
battery cable.
NOTE: Disconnecting the negative battery cable
erases pre-programmed electronic memories.
Write down all memory settings before
disconnecting the negative battery cable. Some
radios will require an anti-theft code to be
entered after the battery is reconnected. The
anti-theft code is typically supplied with your
owner’s manual. In the event your vehicles
anti-theft code cannot be recovered, contact an
authorized dealership to obtain your vehicles
anti-theft code.

2. Remove the oil ll cap and then lift off the engine
cover. Reinstall the oil cap after the engine cover
has been removed.
3. Lift up the strut tower cover to unhook it from the
holding pins and then remove the cover.
4. Disconnect the crank case vent tube coupler
from the rear of the driver’s side valve cover.
5. Loosen the hose clamps securing the intake
tube to the throttle body and air lter housing, then
remove the intake tube and crank case vent from
the vehicle.
6. Disconnect the mass air sensor electrical
connection.
