Congratulations, you have just purchased the fi nest air fi lter that money can buy. With proper care, this fi lter will last 1
million miles or more. This fi lter can be used in a stock machine, with no modifi cations required. If any engine modifi ca-
tions have been made tuning/jetting adjustments may be required. There are special installation instructions, so please
follow the procedures outlined below to ensure the K&N
®
air fi lter seals properly.
INSTALLATION:
THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED EVERY TIME THE FILTER IS SERVICED,
OTHERWISE THE FILTER MAY NOT SEAL, AND DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE COULD RESULT.

1. Remove the stock air fi lter.
2. Carefully clean the area where the air fi lter sits in the air box.
3. Install the K&N
®
air fi lter. (Fig. 1)
NOTE: The air fi lter will not be completely seated in the air box at this time. The fl at surface on the inside
of the air box lid will apply pressure on the K&N
®
air fi lter to complete the seal. (Fig. 2)
4. Reinstall the air box lid and refasten clips. (Fig. 3)
