Congratulations, you have purchased the fi nest air fi lter that money can buy. With proper care, this fi lter will last 1 million
miles or more. This fi lter is a direct replacement for the stock air fi lter, and no modifi cation will be required. However the
following procedures MUST be followed to ensure the proper fi t and seal of the K&N
®
air fi lter.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED EVERY TIME THE FILTER IS SERVICED,
OTHERWISE THE FILTER MAY NOT SEAL, AND DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE COULD RESULT.

1. Un-fasten air box clamps. (Fig. 1)
2. Remove the air box lid from the vehicle and remove the stock air fi lter. (Fig. 2)
3. Wipe out any dirt or dust that may be inside the air box.
4. Place the K&N Air Filter in the air box, with one of the ears on the fi lter top, locking behind the step in the bottom of the
air box base. (Fig. 3)
5. Now snap the K&N Air Filter in place by putting slight pressure on the fi lter base. Make sure the fi lter is properly seated
in the oval air box cavity. (Fig. 4)
6. Re-install the air box lid and re-fasten the air box clamps. The step in the air box lid will fi t behind the other ear on the
fi lter top and keep the fi lter in place. (Fig. 5)
