Installation Instructions

This Filter Fits: SEE CATALOG FOR CURRENT APPLICATIONS
Congratulations, you have just purchased the nest air lter that money can buy. With proper care,
this lter will last 1 million miles or more. This lter can be used in a stock machine, with no modi ca-
tions required. If any engine modi cations have been made tuning/jetting adjustments may be re-
quired. There are special installation instructions, so please follow the procedures outlined below to
ensure the K&N air lter seals properly.
INSTALLATION:
THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED EVERY TIME THE FILTER IS
SERVICED, OTHERWISE THE FILTER MAY NOT SEAL, AND DAMAGE TO THE
ENGINE COULD RESULT.

1. Remove the screws that secure the air box lid.
2. Disconnect the mass air sensor electrical connection and unclip the wiring harness from the air
box.
3. Loosen the hose clamp that secures the intake tube to the air box.
4. Slide the intake tube off of the air box inlet.
5. Remove the air box lid with the mass air sensor attached.
6. Remove the two bolts that retain the stock air lter and remove from the air box.
7. Install the K&N Air Filter making sure that the studs on the lter go through the holes on the
air box lid.
8. Secure the K&N Air Filter to air box using the provided washers and nuts.
NOTE: Be sure not to over tighten the nuts to prevent damage to the air lter studs.
9. Place the lid back onto the air box base and tighten screws.
NOTE: Be sure to line up tab on the lid with the base. (Fig. 2)
10. Reconnect the intake tube onto the air box inlet and reconnect the mass air sensor wiring
harness. Tighten the hose clamp.
11. Reconnect mass air sensor electrical connection.
