Congratulations, you have purchased the finest air filter that money can buy. With proper care, this filter will last
1 million miles or more. This filter can be used in a stock machine, with no modifications required. If any engine
modifications have been made tuning/jetting adjustments may be required. There are special installation
instructions, so please follow the procedures outlined below to ensure the K&N Filtercharger
®
seals properly.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED EVERY TIME THE FILTER IS SERVICED,
OTHERWISE THE FILTER MAY NOT SEAL, AND DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE COULD
RESULT.
1. Remove the stock air filter.
2. Carefully clean the inside of the air box.
3. Remove the stock o-ring from the air box base. (Fig. 1)
4. Apply a light coating of the provided K&N Sealing Grease into the air box base o-ring groove.
Note: This groove is for the o-ring removed in step 3.
5. Install the K&N Filtercharger
®
making sure it is completely seated.
6. Reinstall the two air filter screws on the K&N Filtercharger
®
. (Fig. 2)
Note: Do not overtighten or damage to the K&N Filtercharger
®
can occur.
7. Reinstall the air box lid and tighten screws.
