INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

This ﬁ lter ﬁ ts: SEE CATALOG FOR CURRENT APPLICATIONS

Congratulations, you have just purchased the ﬁ nest air ﬁ lter that money can buy. With proper care, this ﬁ lter will last 1 mil-

lion miles or more. This ﬁ lter can be used in a stock machine, with no modiﬁ cations required. If any engine modiﬁ cations

have been made tuning/jetting adjustments may be required. There are special installation instructions, so please follow

the procedures outlined below to ensure the K&N

air ﬁ lter seals properly.

INSTALLATION:

THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED EVERY TIME THE FILTER IS SERVICED,

OTHERWISE THE FILTER MAY NOT SEAL, AND DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE COULD RESULT.

1. Remove the side cover. (Fig. 1)

2. Remove the air box lid. (Fig. 2)

3. Remove the stock air ﬁ lter. (Fig. 3)

4. To ease installation of the air ﬁ lter into the air box, apply a liberal amount of grease on the lip seal and perimeter of

the air ﬁ lter. (Fig 4)

5. Install the K&N

air ﬁ lter with the thin tapered side going into the air box ﬁ rst.

NOTE: The lip seal faces toward the front of the motorcycle. (Fig. 5)

6. Push the K&N

air ﬁ lter into the air box until it is ﬂ ush with the outside of the air box.

7. Reinstall the air box lid and side cover.
