INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

This fi lter fi ts: SEE CATALOG FOR CURRENT APPLICATIONS
Congratulations, you have purchased the fi nest air fi lter that money can buy. With proper care, this fi lter can last many
seasons. This fi lter can be used in a stock machine, with no modifi cations required. If any engine modifi cations have been
made tuning/jetting adjustments may be required. There are special installation instructions, so please follow the proce-
dures outlined below to ensure the K&N
®
air fi lter seals properly.
INSTALLATION:
THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED EVERY TIME THE FILTER IS SERVICED,
OTHERWISE THE FILTER MAY NOT SEAL, AND DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE COULD RESULT.

1. Remove the stock air fi lter.
2. Remove the stock o-ring where the air fi lter seals. (Fig. 1)
NOTE: Do not remove the o-ring for the air box lid otherwise the air box will not seal correctly. (Fig. 2)
3. Install the K&N
®
air fi lter. (Fig. 3)
4. Go around the perimeter of the K&N
®
air fi lter and make sure it is completely seated in the o-ring groove.
5. Reinstall the air box lid and tighten the stock screws.
