INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED EVERY TIME THE FILTER IS
SERVICED, OTHERWISE THE FILTER MAY NOT SEAL, AND DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE
COULD RESULT.
1. Remove the stock air filter and air filter guide.
Note: The stock air filter guide will not be used with the K&N Filtercharger
®
.
2. Install the provided metal top plate onto the K&N Filtercharger
®
making sure it is seated.
3. Lightly grease the base of the K&N Filtercharger
®
with the provided K&N Sealing Grease.
4. Install the provided hex bolt through the top plate.
5. Install the provided washer onto the hex bolt.
Note: The washer will go in between the post on the top plate and the stock air filter holder in the air
box.
6. Install the K&N Filtercharger
®
into the air box.
Note: Make sure the provided washer does not come off of the hex bolt.
7. Tighten the hex bolt making sure the top plate is completely seated.
Congratulations, you have purchased the finest air filter that money can buy. With proper care, this filter can last many
seasons. This filter can be used in a stock machine, with no modifications required. If any engine modifications have
been made tuning/jetting adjustments may be required. There are special installation instructions, so please follow the
procedures outlined below to ensure the K&N Filtercharger
®
seals properly.
