End point adjustment
Install the drive in such a way that the adjusting screws are easily
accessible. The end points for top and bottom are adjusted with 2
adjusting screws. To tighten the screws use a 4mm allen key. The screws
must not be screwed with an electric screwdriver.
12 turns of the adjusting screws produce one revolution of
the drive
whether you install the drive right or left: the lower screw always
adjusts the upper stop position, the upper adjusting screw always
the lower stop position
Turning from (minus) to + (plus) produces an increase of the route;
turning in the opposite direction a reduction
set the upper stop with 3cm air
The following installation sequence is recommended:
1. Install shaft and drive appropriately.
2. Connect the drive electrics .
3. Switch on the drive in the direction of travel downwards until the drive
stops at the lower stop.
4. Only now attach the casing.
5. Allow the drive to go up until it stops at the upper stop (optionally with
smaller windows stop before that by operating the switch. Set the
upper end point
with 3cm air.
6. Carry out a test run and if necessary fine tune.

Assembly sequence, installation, drawing of installation situation
The drive is designed for installation into the roller shutter shaft, octagonal, SW60 (60mm w ide Allen k ey). Push the adapter on to the drive and then fix
the carrier on to the square end of the drive. Then carefully push the drive into the shaft up to the stop of the adaptor ring. For this position the
adaptor and carrier in such a way that the inner channel of the roller shutter shaft fits into t he hollow provided by the adaptor an d the carrier.
Important: In this and t he further assembly avoid the shaft slipping from the adaptor and the adaptor slipping from the rotor ring as otherwise the
end shut-o ff will not work properly later. Screw the square end to the motor head.
Push the shaft cap (accessories or present on site) into the shaft on the other side.
Screw on t he drive mounting and counter bearing in the roller shutter box or masonry in such a way that the roller shutter shaft is in balance.
Push th e roller bearing on to the kingpin of the shaft cap.
Install the roller shutter shaft with the drive pushed in. For this first place the ball bearing of the shaft cap into the counter bearing and then place the
drive with the drive square end into the drive mounting. N ow press the ball bearing securely into the bearing shell of the counter bearing. So that the
square end of the drive does not “slip out of the mounting in further operation, the shaft cap must be pushed so far out on assembly that the drive and
the roller shutter shaft with shaft cap are hanging almost free of clearance in the mountings. You can compensate for measurement inaccuracies of
the roller shutters of up to 40mm during assembly by pulling out the shaft c ap. The shaft cap must be secured against being pushed out sideways. For
this 2 screws can be screwed into the top and bottom of the roller shutter shaft and the shaft cap in it so that the shaft cap cannot “wander”. Close the
roller shutter box in such a way that it can be opened easily and without consequential costs in case of servicing.
Secure shaft cap with screws against being
dislocated sideways
Never use screws for hanging the hangings in the drive area. The drive turns the shaft round its own axle. If screws protrude into
the shaft they will damage the drive in the long run. In the area of the drive please use hanger springs to fasten the hanging to
the shaft.
The running time of the drive is approx. 4 min. After that the integrated thermal cutout becomes active and turns off the drive for approx. 30 min. After this
cooling down period the drive will work again. If you allow the drive to run several times when adjusting the end point, the thermal cutout may become active
and turn the drive off temp orarily.
small dislocations of position of the stop position in later operation may arise e.g. thr ough the effects of temperature differences (winter-summer) on the roller
shutter casing. So it is essential to adjust the upper stop position (direction upwards) with 3cm. play.
