First Use and Basic Functions
1. Power Supply
1.1 Mains Adaptor
Connect the mains adaptor to the DC power socket of the radio and to a suitable
wall socket. Only use the supplied adaptor with this unit.
1.2 Batteries
Open the battery door at the back of the unit and insert 6x size AA batteries. Take
care to insert the batteries according to the polarity as indicated inside the battery
case. Close the battery door again.
Note: Only use one power source to operate the unit.
2. Switching the Unit On/Off
2.1 Main Power
Turn on the main power of the unit by turning the Power/Volume knob clockwise.
To switch the unit off completely turn the Power/Volume knob counter-clockwise
until you can hear a click.
Note: When switching the unit off completely the clock settings are lost and must
be reset (in DAB+ mode the clock is set automatically). The station presets are not
affected.
2.2 Standby
To put the unit in standby mode press the Standby key.
The display will show “Goodbye” and switch to the clock display.
To switch the unit back on, press the Standby key.
3. First Use
1. Fully extend the telescopic antenna.
2. Connect the power and switch the unit on. The display will show:

3. If there is no DAB+ signal the display will show the below message:
Before scanning for DAB+ stations you can choose CANCEL to skip. The
display will show the below message:
