POWER SUPPLY
Battery operation
Open the battery compartment (13): Loosen the screw on the cover of battery compartment with
a screwdriver and remove the cover.
Insert 4 UM2 / R14 1.5V type batteries (not included). Make sure that you follow the polarity
markings inside the compartment!
Close the battery compartment and tighten the screw.
Operation of power adaptor
Only use a common 6V/500mA power adaptor (not included).
Connect the power adaptor to the DC jack (10).
Phone jack
A Phone jack (11) has been provided. To use it, plug in headphones (3.5mm connector / 32ohm)
available at your local dealer and adjust the OFF / - Vol + (2) to a comfortable listening level. When
external headphones are connected, the main speakers (12) of the unit will be mute.
BASIC OPERATION
On / Off
Switch on the unit and adjust to a comfortable listening level by turning the OFF / - Vol + knob (2)
clockwise. The Power indicator (16) lights up.
To switch off, turn the knob counter - clockwise until it snaps. The Power indicator goes out.
Play A Cassette
1. Press the STOP / EJECT button (5) to open the cassette door (1).
2. Insert a cassette with the exposed tape facing upwards and the full reel on the right into the cas-
sette compartment. Close the cassette door (1).
3. Press the ◄ PLAY button (3) to play the cassette.
