CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Your Karran quartz sink is produced from the highest quality natural quartz crystals and acrylic resins. With the right care it will last a lifeme.
Cleaning and caring for your quartz sink is easy. Simply follow the reference guide below.
Normal impuries (residue from washing up)
Clean your sink with water, a non-abrasive cleaner (liquid dishwashing soap, Bar Keepers Friend, So Scrub with bleach) and a cloth, then
rinse well with hot water and dry. This should be done aer every use. Doing this will eliminate water spots and soap lm build-up.
Metal abrasions (pots, pans and cutlery)
Use a rub-out sponge (Mr. Clean Magic Eraser sponge). Follow up by cleaning your sink with water, liquid dishwashing soap and a cloth, then
rinse well with hot water and dry. Do this whenever necessary.
Lime scale stains (calcium deposits)
Use vinegar or a commercial lime scale & rust remover such as Lime Away or CLR. With vinegar, dilute 50% with water and let it soak into the
aected areas for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with hot water then dry. With a commercial lime scale & rust remover, follow the direcons
for use on the packaging, then rinse sink thoroughly with hot water and dry. Do this whenever necessary.
Stubborn stains
Use a mild abrasive cleaner such as Bar Keeper’s Friend and a so scouring pad. A diluted bleach soluon may also be used. Mix 1 part house-
hold bleach with at least 1 part water and let soak in sink for 1 hour. Drain, rinse thoroughly with hot water and dry.
These simple maintenance ps will keep your sink looking its best for years. To prevent permanent damage to your sink:
• Do not place hot pots or other hot items directly onto the sinks surface. Let them cool completely before placing them on the sinks
surface.
• Do not use the sink as a cung board. While quartz is incredibly durable, sharp knives may cut into the surface.
• Do not clean the sink with abrasive cleaning/scouring pads and powder detergents. This may dull and damage the sinks surface. If
needed a nylon brush or so scouring pad can be used.
• Strong alkalis (ammonia and causc soda soluons) must be avoided.
• Be very careful with drain cleaners. Do not let any drain cleaner come into contact with the sinks surface.
• The most important regular cleaning p is to rinse well and dry the sink aer every use, parcularly with darker colored sinks.
Luster Pro cleaning oil, available from your local Karran dealer or by calling Karran USA directly, is a specially formulated oil-based cleaning soluon. It
is perfect for giving your quartz sink that extra shine and sparkle when needed. Aer thoroughly cleaning and drying your sink, place a small amount
in the bowl and wipe all over the sinks surface with a cloth. Apply more if needed and use as oen as desired.
